Why be part of a NW scheme?
Many people who do not have a local NW
scheme ask if it is worth setting one up. The straight answer is 'yes'. Below, are the reasons why.
- People living in areas with a NW scheme suffer a lower incidence of crime, including burglary.
- It is an established fact that criminals acknowledge NW areas and tend to steer clear of them. Criminals know that people in the locality care about their neighbourhood and are alert to threats and potential threats to their community.
- NW is a social activity creating a more pleasant environment because Watch members have a common interest ~ community safety
- Members of NW schemes can get real reductions on household insurance
- Would you rather live in a community that cares ? If so, start a NW scheme in your road!
